This Summer has been super full of visitors here at Petra mission base! Family, friends and a beloved supporting church have all come to work and encourage and have some adventures!
Terry and Sheila Tibbetts came with the Bradley family from New Union Baptist church in Blairsville, GA to help us get our roof built! They also put on the porch floor joists, and again, worked themselves to death to help us move forward on this huge project. They are such a blessing to us, and are an amazing work force. It’s not easy to work like they do in this heat! They also came on a resupply mission bringing over seven hundred pounds of tools, school supplies, clothes and shoes, plumbing parts and goodies! They didn’t bring the kitchen sink, but they did bring the kitchen stovetop!
The Dressler family came for their first visit! This is Vann’s sister Susan and her husband Mark and their precious family. It was a joy to have them here and give them a glimpse of what our life is like in Peru!
My baby sister Regina got married!!! Thanks to her incredible generosity, I was able to go to the States for her wedding! Though extremely short, it was an unspeakable blessing to be all together for such a special time!
Some of our oldest and dearest friends Nathan and Sarah Hobby brought thier kids down to visit us, help lay some pipe in the house, and to go on a six day road trip through the Andes mountains and the high jungle covered foothills! It was an adventure that included a 45 minute hike straight up to a waterfall, cave exploring, and exploring Incan ruins at 14,000ft., a motorcycle tour with some missionary friends of ours, fishing, zip lining, over 140 bridge crossings and a 12 hour drive on a mountain dirt road to get home!
It has been a blessed, and full Summer!
