My Vann is forty years old! This amazing man of mine; he is worth celebrating. I know it’s normal for wives to be proud of their husbands, but let me tell you why I feel especially blessed.
My Vann is a dreamer, and God is with him. He can look at an empty pasture in the jungle and see a mission base. He can look at a 25 foot long log and see cut, useful lumber. He can see myriad broken things and know how to fix them when others have given up. Not only does he dream and see how things might be, he makes his dreams happen.
My Vann is superman. He works through chronic migraines and kidney stone pain - in sub-tropic weather - every day. Through scorching sun, or sloshing mud and rain - he works. Everything he does, he does with the standard of excellence.
My Vann is a genius. I’m not exaggerating – this is just a fact. Not only is he the smartest person I know, he has the common sense and Godly character to use his brain power in a way that blesses those around him. He is happiest when he can help and serve someone else.
My Vann has spent a quarter of his life developing this mission base that will have an impact in Peru and the Kingdom of Heaven for eternity. He loves our children and me fiercely, but he loves Jesus even more. I am blessed among women.
